Scott Garrett, President Trump’s nominee to serve as Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank, testified before the Senate Banking Committee on November 1. During his testimony, Mr. Garrett pledged his full support for the Bank, saying that the bank “will continue to operate, point blank,” despite his previous skepticism of the Bank’s mission as a member of Congress.
